Day 1 - Arrive Copenhagen

Arrive in Copenhagen, home to the world’s oldest monarchy, and be transferred to your hotel.

Day 2 - Copenhagen

This morning enjoy a canal cruise followed by a sightseeing tour through Copenhagen. You’ll pass the Amalienborg Palace, an octagonal structure surrounded by four identical rococo palaces. You will also see the famous statue of the Little Mermaid which commemorates the Copenhagen Royal Theatre’s ballet production of The Little Mermaid based on the famous Danish fairytale. Later enjoy a cruise in the colourful canal area of Nyhavn, the city’s lively entertainment district.

Day 3 - Copenhagen, Stockholm

Today you will depart Copenhagen and travel by high speed train to Stockholm. Board your First Class carriage and on arrival in Sweden’s beautiful capital enjoy time at leisure, perhaps taking a stroll through the vibrant hub of Norrmalm to pass by some cultural sites such as the Royal Opera House and St James' Church.

Day 4 - Stockholm

The afternoon is free for you to explore Stockholm, a wonderful maritime city brimming with waterways, parks, shops and a lively entertainment precinct.

Day 5 - Stockholm

Enjoy today at leisure exploring more of Stockholm, perhaps paying a visit to the Vasa Museum to learn the fascinating history of the Vasa warship. In the early evening, you will join a ferry for an overnight cruise to Riga. Enjoy the fabulous views of the Swedish archipelago as you sail out to the Baltic Sea and spend the night in a cabin on board.

Day 6 - Riga

Enjoy breakfast on board as you cruise into Riga this morning. Disembark your ship and set off on an enthralling coach tour of the city. You will find that Riga is famous for its Germanic art nouveau architecture, which is flaunted by a plethora of buildings throughout the city.

Day 7 - Riga

Enjoy a day at leisure to explore Riga, perhaps visiting the Central Market, Europe’s largest market and bazaar. Alternatively, take an elevator to the top of St Peter’s church for a spectacular bird’s-eye view of the Latvian capital. Or you may like to visit the Maskavas Forstate, a historic neighbourhood located on the right bank of the Daugava River for a look at some unique old wooden houses.

Day 8 - Riga, Tallinn

Today, travel by coach along the Gulf of Riga to the Estonian capital, Tallinn. On arrival, enjoy a guided tour of the city during which you will pass by the medieval Dome Church, the Town Hall Square and Toompea Castle, Estonia’s seat of power.

Day 9 - Tallinn

Enjoy a day at leisure to explore Tallinn. In the Old Town there are plenty of historic sites to visit, including the House of the Brotherhood of Blackheads, the only preserved Renaissance building in Tallinn. Historically, the ‘Brotherhood’ was an association of merchants and sailors which dates back to the 14th century. Or perhaps you’d like to use your free time to relax in Kadriorg Park, a tranquil haven in summer and a gorgeous wonderland in winter.

Day 10 - Tallinn, Helsinki

Depart Tallinn for Helsinki by ferry this morning.

Today is free for you to explore Helsinki as you please. The city lies on an archipelago surrounded by many smaller islands connected by regular ferry services. Perhaps you’d like to visit the unique Helsinki Rock Church which is built directly into solid rock. Its amazing acoustics make it a popular venue for musical performances. Or maybe head to the Hakaniemen Kauppahalli, a beautiful old market hall filled with an array of delicious Finnish delicacies.

Day 12 - St Petersburg

This morning, travel by train to the port city of St Petersburg, by far the most cosmopolitan of Russia’s cities. Enjoy two Insider Experiences this afternoon.
